Isobel is baffled by the way Christopher does bills. Her whole life it's been a battle, a frustrating attempt to make ends meet at best, a terrible decision between bills at worst. She is intimately familiar with which companies work with her and which just shut off their services, and here is Christopher, his expenses ten times hers, paying bills without even a thought to the budget, because he doesn't have one.
It's that more than anything that drives home to her how rich he is, how different their lives are. It's that more than anything that makes her wonder.
