Precious
Title: Precious
Rating: G
Summary: Christopher and his newborn daughter.
His baby daughter was perfect.
Christopher knew, intellectually, that every new parent felt that way, but not every new parent was faced with a child as inarguably wonderful as his. No other baby had the same little crescents of fingernails, or the soft small wrinkles that marked tiny knuckles, or the same feathering of dark hair.
His mother had said to him once, in a rare moment of affection, that she knew she could die for him the moment she first held him. He understood the impulse, but he'd prefer to live.
Some things were too precious to die for.
