Title: Horizon
Rating: PG
Summary: Charlotte, on her own.
Warnings: none.
Notes: It's been a while since I wrote Shine Like It Does!
The change in Charlotte is so monumental, she thinks that the world must have changed too. There must have been a sudden jolt, a whip of light from the sun whirling out to lash across the landscape as she steps out of the bus station.
But it's the same world, the same dark and confusing and overwhelming world. She has fewer choices now but they are still endless, gold veils ribboning around her and floating out into the dark. How can she choose?
She catches at one, feels it slip through her fingers and float away towards the dawning east.
