Summary: Nancy insisted on tea first.
Notes: The garden in this is a real place, the South Coast Botanical Garden.
Nancy insisted on having tea with them first. It irritated Isobel to no end, the way she controlled everything. There was nothing to be done-- soon enough they'd be married and living in their own house, safely away. For now, they could only escape to the botanical garden.
They would be married there, soon. She would walk down a rosey path to the gazebo, and say her vows surrounded by blossoms. Then she would be Christopher's and he hers, inseparable no matter what Nancy did.
In the garden, she could relax into his arms.
In the garden, they were safe.
